Wedding Flowers You’ll Love
Garden Roses:
These romantic ruffled beauties come in a huge range of colours, and some varieties have a stunning scent that adds something special to a bridal bouquet. Some of our favourites include David Austin’s Juliet (peach), White O’Hara (off-white/blush, scented) and Tess (red). Garden roses can also be a great substitute for peonies when they’re not in season!
Ranunculus:
These versatile flowers with their lovely, layered petals are a great size for buttonholes and corsages and they add a luxe feel to any bridal bouquet. Usually a spring bloom, they are perfect for those February – April weddings.
Hydrangea:
A classic large bloom that can add volume to larger installations and table arrangements. Giving a garden vibe and available in a range of colours, including light blue – a popular colour despite it being elusive in the flower world! Keep in mind hydrangeas LOVE water so they need good hydration before the wedding day.
Amaranthus:
This textured stem has become extremely trendy in the last year or so. It adds movement and a modern feel to wedding flowers. It is available in a trailing or upright form and typically comes in green, burgundy, red and sometimes even coral and biscuit brown!
Anthuriums:
These tropical flowers are another recent favourite in the wedding world. Again, with a modern and artistic feel, they come in a broad range of colours and sizes so can be used in everything from bouquets to large archway arrangements. Perfect for the bride that wants something a bit different and exotic!
Peonies:
Everyone’s favourite! These big blousy blooms are very seasonal so are best kept for April-June weddings. From Sarah Bernhardt pink and Coral Charm, to Duchess De Nemours white and soft Lemon Chiffon yellow, there’s sure to be a peony you love.
Delphinium:
These tall, elegant flowers add height and grandeur to wedding arrangements. Ranging from 60cm bouquet size stems, all the way up to 120cm+ for those large-scale designs. They come in a white, purple and various shades of blues, occasionally even pink!
Scabiosa:
These round little flowers add a touch of whimsy to any wedding flowers. They are delicate blooms with a button centre and fluffy petals surrounding it. Blackberry Scoop is a perfect dark burgundy for those moody, autumn/winter weddings, while Candy Scoop brings a pop of bright colour in the summer months!
Dahlias:
A summer favourite, dahlias come in pretty much every colour and shape under the sun! Some of our favourites include blush Cafe Au Lait ‘dinner plate’ dahlias and pink pom shaped ‘Wizard of Oz’ dahlias pictured below.
